The Mighty Acorn is now offering full treatment by telehealth or at our main office. That means you can stay at home and get full Medication Assisted Treatment and counseling. And, yes, insurance is accepted!
How Does it Work?
It is as easy as 1 2 3...+
1. Register as a Patient Online
2. Attend Your Telehealth Appointments
3. Get Your Medication
1. Register as a Patient Online:
Go to our online patient portal. New patient? Select the options as seen pictured below:
Select an appointment time. The appointment type will say "Psychiatry Intake", but don't worry, we know you are making an appointment for Medicated Assisted Treatment.
Select "Continue Without Signing In" if you are a new patient. If you are a current patient and have patient portal access, you can sign into your account to continue with the appointment request to start Medicated Assisted Addiction Treatment with us.
New Patient appointment requests that "Continue Without Signing In" will be instructed to fill out the information in the screen below. After filling out the information, click submit request and we will contact you to get you registered and confirm your appointment.
2. Attend Your Telehealth Appointments.
Attending you telehealth appointments is as easy as staying home, logging into the portal and meeting with your provider and counselor. You can meet with your providers wherever you are, as our telehealth portal allows for you to use your smart phone, notepad/iPad, laptop, or desktop for your video appointments!
3. Get Your Medication(s).
You will have a couple of convenient options to get your medication(s). Prescriptions can be sent to the pharmacy of your choice or medications can be sent to your home! Yes, we know the mail can take a little bit of time, but we have already thought of that. If you choose to have your medications sent directly to your home, we make sure you will have your medications prior to running out of your current supply of medicine.
Frequently Asked Questions:
What is Medicated Assisted Treatment for addiction?
Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is the use of medications in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, which is effective in the treatment of opioid use disorders (OUD) and can help some people to sustain recovery.
What medication is normally prescribed in this program?
Buprenephorine (brand name: Suboxone) is the main medication for MAT treatment. Our providers will assess every patient individually to determine the best plan for treatment.
Do you accept insurance for Medicated Assisted Recovery Treatment?
Yes! We accept most Ohio Medicaid insurances (including CareSource, Molina, Buckeye, Aetna, UnitedHealthCare, Paramount, Medical Mutual, etc.). We also accept private insurances and Employer Assisted Program payments. Cash options are available.
How are drug tests completed if patients do not have to be in-office for appointments?
Patients that do complete all appointments by telehealth only will be able to drug test as needed right from their home. Our program offers oral drug screens that will be sent to the home address and witnessed during the telehealth appointment. In any unique situations, our providers may choose to have the patient go to a local lab to confirm the results.
Can I choose to come into the office for my appointments?
Yes! We do offer options for any appointment to come into our main office in Columbus, OH. We understand that patients may be more comfortable being in office for their appointments.
I don't live in central Ohio, but I live in Ohio, can I still enroll into your MAT program?
No, you must live within 50 miles of our office in order to begin treatment with us. Our address is 3433 Agler Rd, Ste 2100, Columbus, OH 43219.
